  • Experience coordinating work among multiple shops, technical organizations, or project stakeholders.
  • DoD, Navy, depot, manufacturing, or government-facility experience preferred.

Salary Range: $32.34 To $39.52 Hourly

Engineering Technician IV provides experienced technical support for industrial planning, production control, logistics, scheduling, hardware progressing, and related operational activities. The position independently performs recurring assignments that may not be completely standardized and selects or adapts established procedures, methods, and equipment using applicable technical precedents. Responsibilities may include developing resource and material requirements, coordinating work through multiple Government shops, maintaining project and workload status, resolving production-support issues, researching technical and material information, and supporting technical drawing packages, bills of material, repair kits, and work-order schedules.

The Engineering Technician IV works with limited day-to-day direction and coordinates with engineers, project managers, production-control personnel, logisticians, and industrial work areas. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy and compliance with applicable instructions.

Education

Experience
Strongly Preferred

  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, logistics, material control, or hardware progressing.
  • Experience using shop orders, engineering drawings, bills of material, procedures, and specifications.
  • Experience researching components, vendors, material availability, and obsolescence concerns.
  • Experience using computerized production, logistics, maintenance, or inventory systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical, equipment, or process problems.
  • Experience coordinating work among multiple shops, technical organizations, or project stakeholders.
  • Prior Department of Defense, Navy, depot, manufacturing, or government-facility experience preferred.
License, Cert or Registration
Required
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the security-clearance and Government-access requirements of the position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the personnel security eligibility required for assigned work, up to a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Full medical certification, including an ordnance physical.
  • Enrollment in the contractor-managed random drug-testing program.
  • Required equipment, process, HAZMAT, and safety qualifications must be obtained and maintained.
Preferred
  • Licensed and certified to operate a 6,000-pound electric forklift, diesel forklift, and CAT III overhead crane.
  • Ability and experience operating a pallet jack and Big Joe stand-behind pallet lift.
Special knowledge, skills, & abilities
  • Ability to manually lift up to 75 pounds may be required with this position.
  • Ability to independently perform recurring technical and production-support assignments.
  • Ability to select or adapt standard procedures using established precedents.
  • Working knowledge of industrial planning, scheduling, logistics, and material-control processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and technical instructions.
  • Ability to research material, components, suppliers, and obsolescence issues.
  • Proficiency with ERP, SWMS, EQL, or comparable information systems.
