Precise Systems, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician to support testing, maintenance, and repair of electronic warfare assets. The role emphasizes routine testing, troubleshooting, assembly/disassembly, and meticulous record-keeping in both customer-site training and a subsequent depot facility.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, electronics background, and attention to detail. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics preferred.
  • Experience with electronics testing, repair, recordkeeping, and inventory control is expected.
  • Familiarity with reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electronic testing.
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault isolation.
  • Perform disassembly, assembly, component replacement, and repair.
  • Use basic electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
  • Read and follow technical instructions, wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
  • Record test results, discrepancies, maintenance, and parts used.
  • Receive, label, organize, and issue parts and materials with accurate tracking.
  • Conduct physical inventories and maintain accountability for assets and tools.
  • Perform basic visual inspections and report discrepancies.

We are seeking an Engineering Technician (30083) to support testing, maintenance, and repair of electronic warfare (EW) assets. This individual will perform routine electronic testing and repair, maintain records, assist with parts tracking, and support inventory activities. Work will initially be performed at the customer's facility to receive training and become familiar with the equipment and procedures. The position will subsequently transition to a contractor-operated off-site depot facility. This role requires in-person support.

  • Perform soldering and desoldering
  • Record test results, identified discrepancies, completed maintenance, and parts used.
  • Receive, label, organize, and issue parts and materials while maintaining accurate tracking records.
  • Conduct physical inventories and help maintain accountability for customer assets, tools, test equipment, and consumables.
  • Perform basic visual inspections using established checklists and report discrepancies
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow applicable safety, electrostatic discharge, security, and quality procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four (4) years of experience in the duties listed above OR Associates degree with two (2) years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of electronics
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate test, maintenance, and inventory records.
  • Technical certificate, associate degree, or military training in electronics or a related field.
  • Prior exposure to electronic testing, repair, maintenance, or assembly
  • Soldering certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Quality assurance or electronics inspection certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, schematics, and electrostatic discharge precautions.
  • Experience with parts ordering, material tracking, or inventory. This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit.
