Job summary

Medtronic Energy & Components Center (MECC) seeks an engineering technician to support the Design Reliability & Product Testing (DR/PT) group. You will contribute to reliability testing across the full component lifecycle and collaborate with CRM and Neuro business units.

A background in Metallurgical Technology or Materials Science plus microscopy experience is preferred. The role emphasizes hands-on lab work with an in-person, onsite work culture and growth opportunities within a critical

Qualifications

• Requires 1+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
• Requires full job knowledge of production-related systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
• No Minimum education requirement

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to reliability engineers to execute test plans and escalate findings during product testing.
• Perform electrical testing of battery cells and/or capacitors, including placement of components on test, monitoring data, and interpreting results.
• Complete data collection and failure analysis, and summarizes findings in technical report. Utilizes Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for report writing.
• Work closely with test equipment team to troubleshoot equipment and ensure quality of data.
