Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Construction Materials Field Technician to support field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel at various project sites.

You will observe tests, document results, transport samples, report daily findings to the Project Manager, and help maintain equipment and safety standards. Training will progressively increase responsibilities and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
• Preferred Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g. soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
• Communicate test results and observations to the Project Manager and client representatives.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory with proper documentation.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas; adhere to safety standards.
