Job summary

JPC in Palm Bay, FL seeks a Test Engineering Technician to support manual and automated testing of space hardware. Tests may occur at card, assembly, sub-system or vehicle level, with emphasis on handling sensitive hardware and strict procedure adherence.

Experience with RF, optical and/or digital tech is required. Typical schedule is a 1st shift 6:00AM–4:30PM with surge period flexibility; TS/SCI details apply for security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Or 2 years post-secondary/Associates with 2 years related experience.
• Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations.
• Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction.
• Verify all test equipment is in calibration.
• Verify all licensed test software is not expired.
• Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures.
• Performs test and records required information.
• Document failures and reports anomalies to key stakeholders.
• Execute automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
• Troubleshoot failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
• Operate RF, optical and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes.

• Active Secret Clearance required

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
• Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density connectors, RF and optical connections.
• Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing.
• Willing to work overtime as requested.
