L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Engineering Technician B in Rochester, NY. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of complex digital and RF fixtures, following schematics and documentation, and supporting daily test operations in a fast-paced environment.

The position qualifies for a 9/80 schedule with alternating Fridays off. A high school diploma with relevant experience and 2-year degree are expected, with opportunities to grow in test systems and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex digital and RF fixtures per drawings and documentation.
• Resolve daily test issues impacting manufacturing operations.
• Monitor station utilization and report downtime to TE Lead.
• Assist technicians with test systems and troubleshooting tools training.
• Create/update station documentation items (MTPs, BOMs, AMRs, TSWs).
• Maintain spare parts inventory for test stations with Calibration Monitor.
• Troubleshoot complex digital and RF test systems and support operations.
• Provide responsive operations support for production issues.
• Work under limited supervision as a contributing team member.

Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an Engineering Technician C to join our team.

Essential Functions:

• Performs troubleshooting of complex digital and RF fixtures, including dismantling, adjusting, repairing, calibrating, aligning, assembling, and operating according to engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation
• First line of defense in resolving daily test issues impacting troubleshoot, environmental, or up flow test for manufacturing and operations
• Monitors station utilization and downtime and reports out to the TE Lead
• Assists manufacturing technicians by answering questions and providing training on test systems and troubleshooting tools
• Create/Update station documentation items such as MTP’s, Station BOM’s, AMR’s, and TSW’s
• Works in conjunction with PM coordinator and Calibration Monitor to maintain proper spare parts inventory for the FF test stations
• Troubleshoot complex digital and RF test systems
• Responds to operations support requests in the resolution of test issues impacting production
• Supports individual contributor--Works under limited supervision

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Understanding of manufacturing systems, production processes technical standards and equipment
• 2 years of experience reading schematics and troubleshooting to component level
• Experience using MS Word and Excel
• Experience with LabView
• Experience with internal and external customers

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $21.63 - $40.38. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
