Job summary

Scientia Vascular Inc. seeks a manufacturing support professional to assist production engineers with equipment implementation, validation, and documentation. You will work on equipment setup, BOMs, and process improvements in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong problem solving and time/resource management.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to manufacturing.
• Assist engineers with component/tooling implementation for production, including validation, drawings and BOMs.
• Assist with development of specs, procurement, build, documentation, validation and training on automated equipment.
• Comply with FDA and international regulatory standards.
• Implement lean systems and drive improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Interact with production staff to troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Other duties as assigned, with or without accommodation.

Position Summary

Supports manufacturing by identifying and solving technical challenges found in production processes and equipment. Assists in setting up production equipment through the I.Q., O.Q. & P.Q. processes.

Completes required documentation for equipment installation & maintenance. Assists Engineering in necessary document creation and change through the Engineering Change Order process.This position will work under general direction and have latitude in determining how to solve problems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provides daily support to manufacturing.
• Assist engineers with component and tooling implementation for production, including but not limited to equipment validation, component drawings and device bill of material.
• Assist with the development of specifications, procurement, build, documentation, validation and personnel training on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards
• Implement lean systems and improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Interface with the production personnel to actively troubleshoot production problems as well as continually improve the process.
• Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Mechanical aptitude/trouble shooting
• Strong problem solving skills and efficient management of time and resources.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Prior experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Lean & 6-sigma principles and tools
• Experience using CAD software, specifically SolidWorks
