## Engineering TechnicianApplylocations: Eglin AFB, FLtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR100547**Key Responsibilities:*** **Drafting & Technical Documentation:** Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create, update, and maintain base infrastructure maps, site plans, and "as-built" facility drawings.* **Field Surveys & Data Collection:** Conduct physical site investigations and field measurements for proposed Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (SRM) projects. Gather critical data on existing mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to support engineering designs.* **Project Planning Support:** Assist senior engineers in preparing Statements of Work (SOW), material take-offs, and government cost estimates. Review basic contractor submittals and shop drawings to verify alignment with project specifications.* **Construction Inspection & Monitoring:** Perform regular site visits to monitor ongoing construction and repair activities. Ensure work is progressing according to technical drawings, military standards (UFCs), and safety protocols, reporting any discrepancies to the project manager.* **Records & Database Management:** Maintain organized technical libraries, digital drawing databases, and project files.
