Job summary

HireTalent is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Toledo, OH plant to provide hands-on engineering support across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and to help implement and improve manufacturing processes on assembly equipment and test systems.

You will troubleshoot assembly equipment and components, support dynamic testers and automation, and lead small improvement projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Strong troubleshooting ability with attention to detail.
• Self-starter who can work with limited supervision.
• Excellent planning/organizational skills; able to juggle multiple tasks under pressure.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot assembly equipment and component faults to reduce downtime and scrap.
• Provide technical support on assembly equipment including dynamic backlash testers, function testers, and NVH equipment.
• Lead small improvement projects focusing on downtime, cycle time, and first-time-through issues.
• Collaborate with maintenance/engineering on equipment repairs.
• Assist Process Engineers with new tooling testing for product changes and launches.
• Interpret blueprints and specs for components, assemblies, and tooling.
• Provide PLC and FANUC robot technical support.
• Work daily in a cross-functional team (Engineering, Quality, Materials, Operations, PM).

What you’ll do:

• Troubleshoot assembly equipment and component faults — reduce downtime and scrap
• Technical support on assembly equipment incl. dynamic backlash testers, function testers, NVH equipment
• Lead improvement projects: equipment downtime, station cycle‑time, first‑time‑through issues
• Partner with maintenance/engineering on equipment repairs
• Assist Process Engineers with new tooling testing for product changes and program launches
• Interpret blueprints and specs for components, assemblies, and tooling
• PLC and FANUC robot technical support
• Work daily in a cross‑functional team (Engineering, Quality, Materials, Operations, PM)

What you’ll bring:
