Job summary

Harvey Nash in Round Lake, IL is seeking a hands-on Research and Development lab assistant to perform a range of tasks from assembly to testing, data recording and calibration of instruments, onsite. This role emphasizes following procedures while troubleshooting and applying basic problem-solving skills.

You will work with MS Office and basic statistical tools, read schematics, and maintain equipment and inventory.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments.
• Make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results.
• Maintain medical device laboratory equipment and inventory levels.
• Write experimental reports, summaries and protocols.
• Develop and maintain record keeping for experiments performed.
• Perform limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.
• Assign routine assembly and testing portions of projects.

Job description

This is a position in an R&D lab which will usually require hands on/on-site work.

Hours: standard working hours 8-5 (can be adjusted +/- 1 hour if needed)

8AM to 5M Monday to Friday, Work hours Flexible

Interview Platform: onsite

Summary

• Work on assignments that are simple or moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Apply basic techniques and procedures to assigned projects.
• Responsibilities:
• Responsible for performing a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments.
• May make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results.
• Maintain medical device laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies.
• May write experimental reports, summaries and protocols.
• May also develop and maintain record keeping for experiment performed.
• Perform limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.
• Individual usually is assigned routine assembly and testing portions of projects (e.g. Product performance and software script testing).

Education & Experience
