Job Description: Engineering Technician
This role is ideal for individuals driven by technical problem-solving and continuous improvement. The responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing manufacturing and facilities equipment. Additionally, you will manage small-scale projects and oversee contractors to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance.

Key Qualifications:
- Experience in construction or contractor management
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment
- Supervise equipment upgrades and modifications
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions
- Plan and execute small-scale projects for equipment and facility improvements
- Conduct Job Safety Analyses and enforce safety standards
- Oversee equipment startup, calibration, and support
- Manage contractors for facility and equipment installations
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs)
- Apply Root Cause Analysis for troubleshooting and improvements
- Mentor maintenance technicians in technical troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Understanding of engineering fundamentals and mechanical/electrical components
- Proficiency in interpreting technical documents like P&IDs and schematics
- Experience with PLCs
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies is a plus
- Knowledge of safety codes and engineering standards
- Understanding of facility infrastructure systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in related engineering fields or a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering (or equivalent)
