Job summary

Magna Steyr in Mesa, Arizona seeks an Engineering Technician to support vehicle system testing for complete development programs. You will perform commissioning tests, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and document results to customer specifications.

You will mentor junior technicians, maintain 5S standards, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or technical/vocational education required.
  • Technician experience in automotive or related technical industries preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite, diagnostic software).
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience using diagnostic tools (multimeter).

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle commissioning tests and system-level tests according to customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical issues.
  • Lead and maintain 5S standards and ensure safety and quality requirements.

Execute vehicle commissioning tests per customer and engineering requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex testing and performance issues, along with collaborate with engineering, quality, and customer teams to validate vehicle performance.
