Job summary

AVIAN, Inc. seeks an Engineering Technician to support the MQ-25/PMA-268 Program at NAS Patuxent River, MD. The role involves applying electrical and electronic theory to build, repair, and modify components for engineering evaluation.

You will work with the engineering staff to install and test systems, operate consoles and data acquisition equipment, and provide test equipment support. AVIAN offers comprehensive benefits and an employee-owner culture, with opportunities for growth and a focus

Qualifications

  • 3 to 10 years of experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Ability to test and understand the operations of consoles, simulators, and other data acquisition systems
  • Provide support to appropiate types of test equipment and systems as requested by the engineering staff.

  • Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge
  • Ability to build, repair, adjust and modify electtrical components, circuity, controls and machinery under the direction of engineering staff

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, as part of an engineering staff. They will be responsible for working with the engineering staff to build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions.

Qualifications
  • Must have 3 to 10 years of experience

  • The salary range for this role is $100,000-$110,000 (The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.)
