Job Purpose

Supports engineering activities such as design, test check‑out, modification and assembly of prototype electro‑mechanical system, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog circuits, digital circuits and logic systems.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of cables, printed circuit boards, sub‑assemblies, assembly of test stations and maintaining those test stations.
• Soldering, cable fabrication and installation, cabinet / rack assembly, and troubleshooting / debugging completed assemblies.
• Assist in the design, construction, test and check‑out of test equipment.
• Use manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators and specialized test apparatus.
• Interact and communicate well with mechanical and electrical engineering staff.
• Use in‑circuit test systems such as Genrad, HP3070 and Teradyne; knowledge of UNIX and Windows based systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• US Citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR facility requirement).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; AAS Degree in electronics engineering technology or military equivalent training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and follow electrical and mechanical assembly drawings.
