Job summary

West Coast Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced aerospace hardware. • 2+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience.

• Experience with PCB soldering and electronic assembly.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCB assembly, soldering, and rework of SMT and through-hole components.
• Build and modify harnesses utilizing D-Sub, Micro-D, and circular connectors.
• Support hardware integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
• Operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
• Execute test procedures and document test results.
• Support calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe laboratory environments.

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of advanced aerospace hardware. Working closely with engineers across multiple disciplines, you will play a hands-on role in supporting laboratory operations, building prototypes, and preparing hardware for testing and delivery.

What You'll Do

• Perform PCB assembly, soldering, and rework of SMT and through-hole components
• Build and modify harnesses utilizing D-Sub, Micro-D, and circular connectors
• Support hardware integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities
• Operate laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-610, IPC-620, or J-STD certification
• Experience supporting aerospace or defense hardware programs
• Experience operating electronic test equipment
• Experience performing hardware troubleshooting and failure analysis
• Experience working from assembly instructions and travelers

Pay Range: $28-$45/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated capability.
