Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Engineering Support SME to provide technical support for classified USAF initiatives, studies, and programs.

The role requires independent execution of systems engineering tasks across multiple projects and a deep understanding of DoD processes. The candidate will review, advise, and shape studies and demonstrations to meet USAF capability needs, contribute to risk management, and develop acquisition products and strategies for WAG

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of relevant DoD work experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last five years.
• Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering degree required.
• Experience and degree must be in a field relevant to the functional area.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assist in translating user requirement into weapons system requirements which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate subsystems and associated equipment for eventual fielding and deployment.
• Perform technical and mission analyses of existing and future operational requirements to support programs and projects.
• Assist in developing subsystem concepts and perform technological/trade-off assessment of proposed designs/modifications.
• Support assessment of related AFRL technology initiatives to guide investments and shape transition strategies to keep a viable technology base available to support systems development.
• Assist in developing systems engineering documents and processes for subsystems and associated projects across the customer's portfolio.
• Provide technical and programmatic feedback and advice, develop, and present technical briefings, and develop acquisition products and strategies in support of WAG activities.
• Provide support for risk management and configuration control processes.

Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking an Engineering Support SME. This position will require the candidate to provide technical support and advice on current and future activities including studies and initiatives. Duties require the successful candidate review, advise, and shape classified initiatives, studies, demonstrations, and programs to meet current and future USAF capability needs. The successful candidate shall have the experience, and skill sets necessary to independently execute the following systems engineering support tasks:

Qualifications

• Possess a minimum of 12 years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) work experience
• Have no less than three (3) years’ experience in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment within the last five (5) years
• Possess a Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering MA/MS/ME degree.
• Experience and degree requirements must be in a field relevant to the functional area
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position, due to contract requirements.
