Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking an Engineering Summer Worker to assist across Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, QA, Lab, and Design teams in Murphy, NC. The role focuses on supporting continuous improvement projects and various engineering functions during a 3-month term with potential extension.

The intern will contribute to tooling research, layouts, data collection, and CAD modeling while gaining exposure to Lean events and configuration management.

Qualifications

• Must have or be pursuing an engineering-related degree.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing continuous improvement projects.
• Research tooling and machinery for projects.
• Produce work instructions, data cards, and routings.
• Assist in layouts and CAD modeling tasks.
• Conduct engineering testing and QA testing.
• Perform data collection and recordkeeping tasks.
• Support SPC/ETQ Database management.
• Engage in Engineering Lab work.
• Support Configuration Management activities.
• Assist with CAD modeling and related tasks.
• Assist with programming tasks as needed.
• Write tooling requests and assist Lean events.
