US Army Corps of Engineers – Louisville District is actively seeking Engineering Student Trainees who are enrolled in ABET-accredited programs in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

The openings use Direct-Hire Authority across several disciplines and grades (GS-0899-03 to GS-0899-04) as a term appointment not to exceed four years, with potential conversion to permanent after completion of the program.

Qualifications

• GS-03 requires one full academic year of post-high school study relevant to the position/series.
• GS-04 requires two full academic years of post-high school study or an associate degree relevant to the position/series.

Responsibilities

• Hiring Engineering Student Trainees participating in ABET curricula across civil, mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Direct-Hire Authority used across multiple disciplines and grades GS-0899-03 to GS-0899-04.
• Position is a Term Appointment not to exceed 4 years with potential permanent conversion after graduation.
