Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve Final Assembly processes and products.

You will lead process audits, drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, support ISO compliance, and develop action plans to address quality concerns, with a 6pm–4:30am Tue-Fri night shift on a 4x10hr schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
  • 1+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activity for Final Assembly.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity.
  • Apply engineering principles to establish and improve manufacturing processes and products.
  • Develop action plans to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actions.
  • Lead process audits to ensure discipline aligns with Vehicle Operations guidelines.
  • Conduct ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions.
  • Analyze vehicle inventory root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods.
  • Deliver capable processes and tools for Trim and Chassis Assembly operations.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices, resolving assembly concerns.

You will apply engineering principles & analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.

What You'll Do...
  • Support Manufacturing Process Engineering activity for Final Assembly
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products
  • Develop action plans as required to investigate and prioritize quality concerns and verify corrective actions on internal processes and supplier processes
  • Lead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline is consistent with Vehicle Operations guidelines
  • Conduct job ergonomic evaluations and deliver corrective actions as required
  • Analyze vehicle inventory root causes; engage in mapping and corrective actions to reduce vehicle inventory
  • Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes
  • Deliver capable processes and tools for Trim and Chassis Assembly operations
  • Lead role in resolving assembly related concerns. Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices
  • Ensure compliance to Plant, Corporate, Governmental and Environmental standards
  • Support ISO 14001 compliance and support internal ISO auditing and compliance as required
  • Support continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity in Chassis and/or Trim areas
  • Identify throughput constraints and drive root cause improvements
  • NOTE: Position is a B-Crew position with a scheduled start time of 6pm working until 4:30am (Tue-Fri night) on 4x10hr shift.

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience: 1+ yrs of related experience
  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $72,480-121,440.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $96,720-162,120.
