Job summary

Metcut Research Inc. in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Full-time EST I laboratory technician to perform mechanical testing on composite and metals, and to handle material preparation tasks such as Strain Gage layout, photographing, conditioning and specimen inspection.

The role requires comfort in a lab, ability to perform routine maintenance and repair of mechanical systems with direction, good communication and math skills, and proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Good communication and math skills.
• Comfortable using standard precision measuring instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
• MS Word and MS Excel proficiency.
• Lab experience; hydraulic or electronics background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical testing on composite and metals.
• Perform material preparation functions including Strain Gage Layout and preparation, photographing, conditioning and specimen inspection.
• Support routine maintenance and repair of mechanical systems in the lab with direction.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment.
