Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to support engineering faculty on research projects. You will work under direct supervision, follow lab safety protocols, and assist with literature reviews, data collection, and preparing materials for publications and presentations.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, scheduling tasks, and reporting progress. Weekend or off-hours work may be required with supervisor approval as needed to advance research objectives.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program.
• Maintains a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Prior focus on science and math in high school.

• Work effectively as a team member, supporting Liberty University’s mission.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Learn and follow lab procedures to schedule, organize, and report on research.
• Maintain accurate records of conducted research using adopted tools and techniques.
• Become proficient in routine tasks assigned by the faculty member.
• Conduct literature reviews.
• Assist faculty in preparing materials for publications and presentations.
• Write progress reports.
• Meet with faculty supervisor to review performance.
• Perform other related duties as required.
