Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, CS, IS, or related field, or equivalent.

  • Translate requirements into user stories and tickets using an Agile toolset.
  • Maintain and groom product backlogs with stakeholders.

  • Track items through to completion.
  • Ensure sprint board reflects project status at all times.
  • Identify and resolve blockers impacting sprint execution.
  • Communicate status to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Create reports on milestones and project status.
  • Secure approvals for successful production releases.

Description

As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of engineering project management, from initial requirements gathering, planning, and estimation through sprint planning, execution, and release. You will drive projects forward by coordinating sprint activities, tracking work items, ensuring tickets progress through each stage of development, and overseeing QA, UAT, and production readiness. In this role, you will ensure that nothing falls through the cracks by proactively managing dependencies, driving alignment across cross-functional teams, obtaining stakeholder sign-off, and shepherding releases through to successful production deployment. We are looking for a proactive, highly organized, and results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and consistently drives projects to completion. You will coordinate the development and delivery of new applications, product features, and bug fixes while partnering closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, quality assurance, and management to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered on time. Success in this role requires exceptional communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while keeping teams aligned and focused on execution.

Responsibilities
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
  • Liaising with vendors to support integrations with Apple Finance systems.
  • Translating business requirements into user stories and tickets using an Agile project tracking tool.
  • Partnering with business stakeholders to maintain and groom product backlogs.
  • Planning and scheduling sprints and sprint-related activities.
  • Directing the sprint planning and loading process.
  • Tracking and shepherding work items through to successful completion.
  • Ensuring the sprint board accurately reflects project status at all times.
  • Identifying and driving resolution of blockers that may impact sprint execution.
  • Coordinating meetings with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to communicate project status and resolve issues.
  • Creating reports to communicate project status, milestones, and other key project information.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Proactively identifying and escalating risks that could impact a successful production release.
  • Securing all required approvals to support successful releases to production.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years proven experience as a Technical Engineering Project Manager
  • 2 years proven experience with Agile and Scrum development
  • 2 years proven experience managing software projects based on a variety of technologies
  • 2 years proven experience with project management tools such as Radar and Wrike
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Ability to understand developers on a technical level
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to supervise and follow up on details with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to help maintain high velocity for the development team
  • Strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional patience, persistence, and flexibility
  • Able to find a way to get things done under constraints
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is curious about new technologies
  • A passion for delivering top quality code at high velocity
  • Expertise in Apple Project Management processes
  • Expertise in Apple PM tools such as Radar, Wrike and processes supporting these tools and processes
