Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead complex data center projects in the United States.

You will drive detailed proposals, manage schedules, budgets, and risk, and oversee engineers, designers, and subcontractors to deliver outcomes that meet client expectations. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, develop execution plans, and communicate progress with stakeholders while traveling to client facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or PMP certification with 8 years experience in engineering consulting, project management or data center.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager or engineer with data center experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience with earned value management and progress reporting.
• Ability to travel 10-15% of the time and work with budgets and contracts.

• Project Leadership: Lead projects with technical teams to develop detailed engineering proposals, manage schedules, and execute recovery plans.

• Scheduling & Financial Management: Oversee schedules, use scheduling tools, and monitor financial health and reporting.
• Team & Resource Management: Guide engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure quality deliverables and alignment with standards.
• Client & Business Development: Maintain client relationships, manage scope, and assist with proposals and identifying opportunities.
• Contract & Project Oversight: Manage contracts and travel to client facilities as needed.

ENERCON’s Data Center Mission Critical Group is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join the team. In this dynamic role, you will lead engineering projects, collaborate with technical teams to create detailed proposals, and manage all aspects of project execution, including schedules, risk management, and financial health. You'll drive client satisfaction through effective communication, high-quality deliverables, and strong relationship-building, while overseeing the work of engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes. This position can be based in one of the following locations:

• Scheduling & Financial Management: Oversee project schedules, apply advanced scheduling tools, and manage the financial health of projects, ensuring timely reporting and performance tracking
• Team & Resource Management: Manage engineers, designers, and subcontractors, ensuring quality deliverables, while supporting internal standards and resource management
• Client & Business Development: Maintain strong client relationships, manage project scope, and support marketing efforts, including proposal preparation and identifying new opportunities
• Contract & Project Oversight: Plan, implement, and supervise client contracts, ensuring successful project execution, while traveling to client facilities as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR PMP Certification and 8 years experience in engineering consulting, project manager or data center
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager or engineer with data center experience
• PMP certification preferred
• The ideal candidate has worked with a hyperscale data center directly or indirectly as a consultant
• Skilled in cost / workhour estimating and proposal development and review
• Capable of reporting on and managing scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects executing simultaneously
• Knowledge in earned value management and progress reporting
• Experienced in contract and non-disclosure agreement language development and review
• Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes
• Strong coordination and team building skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
• Ability to read and write technically and coherently
• Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams
• Working knowledge of MS Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel between 10%-15% of the time which may include fieldwork; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs

Compensation Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
