Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Technical Project Manager for industrial water treatment in Boise, Idaho. You will lead engineering and design execution for global water and wastewater projects, supervise P&IDs, and manage third-party firms.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering is required.
• 15+ years in water, wastewater, or process industries.
• 10+ years managing cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and design execution for water and wastewater treatment projects across global markets.
• Supervise P&IDs, basic and detailed engineering/design based on customer specifications.
• Manage third-party design firms and 3D modelling companies.
• Oversee equipment sizing, piping schedules, valve lists, datasheets, and operating manuals.
• Conduct technical reviews of quotations, fabrication drawings, and vendor packages.
• Coordinate cross-functional interface within the project team and with a Global Engineering Center.
• Liaise directly with clients on technical matters, design direction, and project reviews.
• Support commissioning activities and manage warranty claims from a technical standpoint.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team.

What We're Looking For

• BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
• 15+ years of experience in water, wastewater, or process industries
• 10+ years managing cross-functional engineering teams
• Hands-on experience with skid-based, modular, or stick-built treatment systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling tools
• Familiarity with API, ASME, AWS, NACE, and AWWA codes
• Experience working in multicultural or international project environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels
