Job summary

MYTEX Polymers US Corp in Covington, GA is seeking a Project Management and Engineering Leader to plan, lead, and deliver the plant’s CAPEX and process-improvement projects. The role combines mechanical and electrical engineering with disciplined project management to drive equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning from concept through handover to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; 5+ years of engineering and project management experience.
• Experience managing capital (CAPEX) projects and process improvements.
• Lean Six Sigma experience; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and design experience.
• Familiarity with MS Project; SAP experience and ERP systems advantageous.
• Plastics/polymer compounding industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAPEX and process-improvement projects from initiation through closeout.
• Develop integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, and critical-path tracking.
• Establish governance with charters, RACI, stage-gate reviews, and status reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources across engineering, maintenance, production, quality, procurement, EHS, and contractors.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, variance reporting, change orders, and risk.
• Lead equipment specification, RFQ, bid packages, and vendor selection.
• Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical support; ensure NEC/NFPA/OSHA compliance.
