Amazon is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to support the Amazon Logistics North America (AMZL NA) Engineering team, part of Amazon's Last Mile organization. The Last Mile team helps get customer packages from delivery stations to a customer's doorstep.
This is a unique opportunity to own high-impact engineering programs and mechanisms that advance the intelligence and reliability of our last mile business. We are looking for an individual who has experience creating scalable, data-driven solutions to complex reliability and engineering problems. In this role, you will be responsible for driving engineering program governance, compliance reporting, data analytics, and documentation systems that enable leadership visibility, cross-functional alignment, and operational excellence across a portfolio of automation and electrical infrastructure projects.
You will build and maintain the mechanisms that keep our engineering organization running at the highest standard—from automated dashboards and compliance reporting to documentation platforms and stakeholder coordination. You will partner with field engineers, electrical contractors, supply chain teams, and operations leaders to deliver scalable processes that reduce rework, improve quality, and accelerate project delivery.
Key competencies of this position include insisting on the highest standards in root cause quality and corrective action effectiveness; analyzing and deep diving systems performance; inventing and simplifying solutions that improve installation and operational processes; and providing technical expertise to internal customers and stakeholders.
A day in the life
No two days look alike in this role. You will move fluidly between analyzing performance data and building dashboards, facilitating cross-functional alignment meetings, and designing scalable process improvements that eliminate rework across the network. You balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution—architecting a new reporting mechanism one hour and removing barriers for field teams the next. You thrive in ambiguity, take ownership of problems before they are assigned, and find energy in the variety of challenges that come with supporting and driving measurable impact across a fast-moving engineering organization operating at Amazon scale.
About the team
Our diverse team of engineers and program managers owns the full lifecycle, from firm engineering through project execution to final customer hand‑off. We are customer-obsessed, data-driven, and never satisfied with the status quo. We capture lessons learned, incorporate them into our mechanisms, and raise the quality bar with each iteration. Our approach to growth is holistic—we continually learn, develop, and expand expertise across the organization, leveraging subject matter knowledge on a global scale. Collaboration is at our core; we are a true team that supports, challenges, and leverages each other's strengths to deliver on the Customer Promise every day.
