Cisco is seeking a Product Manager for Studio within Cisco Cloud Control Studio in Milpitas, CA. The role focuses on owning outcomes across the application lifecycle, enabling customers to deploy applications and agents in meaningful workflows with reliability, security, and scalable governance.
You will collaborate with senior engineering and architecture leaders, define platform defaults, and translate broad problems into well-scoped releases with clear acceptance criteria.
The most valuable enterprise applications are built around a customer's own systems, workflows, and expertise. Cloud Control Studio gives developers, IT teams, and partners a trusted way to build, distribute, and run those applications and AI agents in production, with enterprise security and governance built in from the start.
Studio is part of Cisco Cloud Control, Cisco's unified cloud management platform. Our mission is to help customers achieve real business outcomes with applications and agents built on their own systems and expertise, by making those applications easy to create and dependable to run for every individual, team, and organization that relies on them!
Studio product managers own outcomes across the application lifecycle rather than individual features. This product manager role is responsible for a critical customer outcome: customers can put applications and agents to work in meaningful workflows and depend on them to run reliably, securely, and manageably across many production environments!
This is where Studio's platform value is realized and where improvements compound across every application built on it, offering broad scope to shape the product. Examples of the problems in this space include how applications are packaged, deployed, upgraded, and administered by customer IT teams; how they are governed, observed, and supported at scale; and how the platform building blocks that applications are composed of stay coherent as the platform grows. The specific mix will evolve with the product; the outcome will not.
In this role, you will work closely with senior engineering and architecture leaders who build the Studio runtime, application registry, and hosting services, while staying directly connected to the customers, builders, and IT administrators who use them. You will:
Lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery for your area, from customer and administrator discovery through product definition, engineering delivery, production validation, and continued improvement
Define how applications and agents behave consistently across packaging, deployment, versioning, automated upgrades, customer administration, identity and authorization, multi-tenant boundaries, persistent data, observability, and operations, and make those behaviors platform defaults rather than per-application decisions.
Steward the platform building blocks that applications are composed of, so that new capabilities and runtime resources can be added by other teams while preserving one coherent customer and administrator experience.
Translate broad, open problems into well-scoped releases with clear acceptance criteria, sequencing decisions, and measurable exit conditions, setting clear priorities on what ships now, what is simplified, and what comes next.
Validate delivered capabilities in real customer workflows and environments-not only in demonstrations-using prototypes, APIs, logs, and product instrumentation to test assumptions and drive open questions to resolution with evidence.
Bring engineering, design, security, identity, platform, operations, and go-to-market teams to clear product decisions, and communicate direction and trade-offs credibly to executives, customers, and technical partners.
Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of related experience, Master's degree plus 8 years of related experience, or PhD plus 5 years of related experience in product management, software engineering, or technical product leadership for software products.
Prior experience in software product management or equivalent product ownership, with direct responsibility for requirements, prioritization, and roadmap decisions for enterprise software.
Applied experience working on an enterprise application platform, developer platform, cloud platform, or multi-tenant SaaS product where third parties or customers deploy software onto your platform.
Experience leading at least one technically complex capability in application lifecycle management, packaging and deployment, versioning and upgrades, customer administration, runtime governance, or platform operations from definition through production launch and customer use.
Previous background leading cross-functional delivery with engineering, design, and at least one of security, identity, operations, or customer-facing teams.
12 or more years of product management experience for enterprise software, PaaS, or cloud platform products. Experience defining a platform or extension model (capabilities, resources, manifests, contracts) that multiple internal or external teams build against.
Experience leading the runtime and lifecycle side of an application platform: packaging, deployment, versioning, staging/promotion, retirement, administration, support, and operations of software built by others and shaping an early-stage platform into a mature, reliable production product.
Technical fluency across several
