Job summary

NC State University is seeking an Assistant Dean of Philanthropy, Engineering to serve as Chief fundraising and engagement officer for the College of Engineering. You will lead the advancement team, manage a portfolio of major gifts, and work with university leadership, donors, alumni and partners to advance philanthropic priorities and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred or equivalent professional training.
  • At least eight years of major gift fundraising and advancement leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies.
  • Experience managing institutional advancement staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing advancement team to advance philanthropic priorities.
  • Cultivate, solicit and steward major and principal gifts from diverse donors.
  • Collaborate with university leadership and development teams to grow donor engagement and pipeline.
  • Provide strategic direction for campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee foundation operations and governance in alignment with university priorities.
