Job summary

Molex, a Koch Industries company, seeks an Engineering Operations Manager to turn data into actionable insights and drive visibility through dashboards and reporting. You will lead cross-functional programs, manage issues, and enable engineering leadership to stay aligned with strategic goals.

You will build real-time visibility into performance, coordinate across engineering, product, quality, and operations, and deliver concise, data-driven leadership updates.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with complex datasets.
  • Proven ability to build and manage dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar).
  • Experience in project or program management within a technical or engineering environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a bias toward action.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay ahead of issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports that provide real-time visibility into engineering performance, quality, delivery, and operational health.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate ambiguous problems into structured analyses and clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Proactively identify emerging issues, risks, and dependencies across engineering initiatives.
  • Track and manage action items, escalation paths, and follow-ups to resolution.
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, quality, and operations to keep work on track.
  • Prepare executive-level summaries, presentations, and readouts.

The Engineering Operations Manager supports engineering leadership by transforming data into actionable insights, driving visibility through dashboards and reporting, and proactively managing cross‑functional initiatives. This role blends data analytics, issue management, and program execution to ensure engineering teams remain focused, informed, and aligned with strategic goals.

What You Will Do
Data & Analytics
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports that provide real‑time visibility into engineering performance, quality, delivery, and operational health
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Translate ambiguous problems into structured analyses and clear recommendations for leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and relevance across engineering metrics
Issue & Performance Management
  • Proactively identify emerging issues, risks, and dependencies across engineering initiatives
  • Track and manage action items, escalation paths, and follow‑ups to resolution
  • Create structured approaches to problem solving, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement
Program & Execution Support
  • Support engineering leaders in planning, prioritization, and execution of key initiatives
  • Coordinate across engineering, product, quality, and operations to keep work on track
  • Establish lightweight processes, documentation, and operating mechanisms that improve execution without adding unnecessary overhead
Leadership & Communication
  • Serve as a trusted partner to engineering leadership, providing concise, data‑driven insights
  • Prepare executive‑level summaries, presentations, and readouts
  • Act as a connector between teams, ensuring alignment and clarity of priorities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with complex datasets
  • Proven ability to build and manage dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar)
  • Experience in project or program management within a technical or engineering environment

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience supporting engineering or R&D organizations
  • Familiarity with engineering metrics (delivery, quality, capacity, efficiency)
  • Experience working in cross‑functional or matrixed organizations
  • Background in continuous improvement, operations, or process optimization

For this role, we anticipate paying $150,000 - $200,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
