Job summary

Mirion Technologies, a global leader in radiation safety, seeks an Engineering Technical Buyer to procure technically complex materials for orders, projects, and repairs. The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with specifications.

The ideal candidate reads drawings and BOMs, negotiates with suppliers, and manages cost, lead times, and supplier performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specs, and revisions.
• Experience purchasing engineered components and assemblies.
• Experience in regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Review requisitions and drawings before issuing purchase orders.
• Purchase technical components, machined parts, and services.
• Clarify requirements with Engineering and suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier quotations for price, lead time and compliance.
• Create and maintain SAP purchase orders and acknowledgments.
• Track open orders and address delays or supplier constraints.
• Inform stakeholders about material status and risks.
• Identify alternate suppliers for long-lead items.
