Job summary

Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) is seeking an Engineering Manager for Domestic Water to lead the Engineering Division's staff, oversee CIP projects, and ensure timely, quality and compliant delivery of engineering services.

This role requires strategic planning, strong leadership, and experience in managing complex water infrastructure programs with regulators and stakeholders. The position reports to the Director of Engineering and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
• 7 years of professional engineering experience, 3 in program management.
• CA PE license and valid California driver’s license.
• Budgeting, staff supervision, and project management.
• Knowledge of CIP, hydraulic modeling, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plans, manages, and oversees daily functions of the Engineering division, including CIP design and construction.
• Prepares and administers division budgets; ensures funding for staffing and materials.
• Provides leadership and supervision; mentors and evaluates staff.
• Reviews hydraulic modeling analyses and water demand studies.
• Oversees contract administration and consultant management.
• Presents reports to commissions and boards.
