Job summary

Verkada is hiring for a senior leadership role to shape the Atlas Spatial Platform. You will lead the platform architecture, ownership of the image pipeline, and the integration strategy across multiple product lines, including Cameras, Access Control, and Alarms.

You will build and mentor a founding team focused on high-performance graphics and spatial math. You will partner with product teams to deliver a unified Maps experience, drive data ingestion pipelines, and set engineering standards

Qualifications

• Experience leading a zero-to-one build and delivering a platform from scratch.
• Ability to negotiate technical boundaries with multiple product teams.
• Deep understanding of modern frontend architectures and graphics.
• Experience building data pipelines and ML-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as a player-coach to deliver the V1 of the Spatial System and initial image pipeline.
• Design a modular, plugin-based architecture with SDKs and APIs for 8+ product teams.
• Oversee ingestion of blueprints, CAD, and high-res imagery into vector data via ML processing.
• Build and mentor a founding Atlas team of 4-6 engineers and establish coding culture.
• Collaborate with Product EMs to ensure a unified Verkada Maps experience.
