Job summary

Thermo Systems seeks an Engineering Manager for Power Generation Design in the United States. The role leads a multidisciplinary design team, develops engineers, plans resources, and sets standards for drawings and specifications.

You will collaborate with project, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams from design through startup. Ideal candidates have extensive electrical engineering leadership experience, knowledge of codes and standards, and a track record across complex energy

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience with leadership of engineers or technical project teams.
• Experience delivering engineering deliverables across complex industrial, utility, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of engineering design, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• PE license or ability to obtain one is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, hire, and develop engineers and designers; set expectations for technical quality and delivery.
• Oversee engineering drawings, design criteria, equipment and construction specifications to meet codes and client needs.
• Establish design standards, templates, review practices, and quality controls across disciplines.
• Plan staffing and engineering schedules across projects; monitor progress and address risks.
• Provide technical direction for generation and distribution systems, including generators, gas turbines, transformers, switchgear, and controls.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, procurement, field teams, and commissioning to resolve issues.
• Support project estimates, scopes of work, and proposals.
