Job summary

Okta Identity Governance (OIG) team is seeking a Software Engineer Manager to lead a group that designs and builds Identity Governance features across access governance personas. You will partner with product, design and engineering to deliver secure, scalable capabilities that users rely on daily.

You’ll hire and mentor engineers, set priorities, and drive engineering best practices, while shaping a culture of inclusion.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in developing enterprise cloud software.
• 3+ years of hands-on technical management experience.
• Experience working with product & program managers to align on objectives, priorities, trade-offs and risk.
• Experience in handling support tickets, bug fixes & enhancement work in a large enterprise application
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for technical discussions.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and people of various backgrounds
• Lead, recruit, mentor and retain engineers

Okta Identity Governance (OIG) organization is looking for a Software Engineer Manager to join our team — OIG is Okta’s Identity Governance and Administration solution that is directly responsible for one of the most critical and visible workflows in enterprise identity: how employees request, approve, and gain access to the resources they need.

Opportunity

As a Software Engineer Manager on the OIG team, you will manage the team that is responsible for designing and building Identity Governance product features — spanning the across different access governance personas. You will lead a team of elite engineers, grow the team, and drive impact and customer satisfaction. You will drive engineering best practices, productivity enhancement, and make our elite engineering team shine. You will also work collaboratively across engineering, product, and design to deliver features that are secure, scalable, and delightful to use.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in San Francisco Bay Area. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $204,000 — $280,500 USD
