Cohere is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for North, its AI workspace platform. You will lead a team of engineers, shaping architecture, planning and delivery across front-end and back-end layers, ensuring scalable and reliable features that empower customers.

You will drive end-to-end ownership, promote high-quality code, and collaborate across product and ops to balance speed with depth and reliability.

In this role, you will

Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Design, build, ship and maintain scalable features for North, our AI workspace platform. Take end-to-end ownership of features — from initial design and planning, through implementation, testing, and delivery. Apply your expertise to deliver at speed, making practical technical decisions that balance velocity with depth and quality. Collaborate closely across teams, maintaining high standards for communication, documentation, and testing. Contribute across the stack—from front-end UI to back-end infrastructure—to develop new features, fix bugs, and optimise performance.

Have experience managing engineering teams and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software. Have built, shipped & maintained production-ready applications. Have strong coding abilities and are comfortable working across the stack. Take a customer-focused, product-minded approach to building software, prioritising outcomes and impact. Thrive in fast-paced environments and can stay focused as priorities and objectives evolve.
