Thinking Machines is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of engineers in San Francisco, California. You will drive architectural decisions, contribute to system design, and manage a high-performing team. This position offers a competitive salary between $400,000 and $500,000 annually, along with benefits including health, dental, vision, and unlimited PTO.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building production systems, including distributed systems.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience managing teams of senior or staff-level engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers, setting expectations and maintaining execution.
• Own architecture and system design for team's systems.
• Contribute to design reviews, prototyping, and debugging.
• Partner with researchers and product teams to define roadmaps.
• Hire and mentor engineering talent.
