Job summary

Google is seeking an Engineering Manager with extensive ML and Computer Vision expertise to lead the Geo team’s multi-year 3D immersive navigation initiative. You will guide a cross-functional group of engineers, product, and UX to deliver scalable, high-quality geospatial data and user experiences for billions of users.

You’ll define priorities, shape the technical roadmap, and mentor engineers across teams and sites, ensuring best practices and robust system design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 5 years in technical leadership and people management.
• 5 years leading ML design and ML infra.
• Experience with CV/ML, generative AI, or applied AI

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of converting imaging, location, and sensor data into precise geometries.
• Set and communicate team priorities across teams and locations.
• Set expectations with individuals based on level and role.
• Develop long-term technical roadmap and infrastructure needs.
• Design, guide and vet system designs and code; conduct reviews.
