Signicast is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function, ensuring production objectives are met at the lowest cost while upholding quality standards and customer delivery requirements. The role reports to the Director – Engineering and Quality and oversees safety, projects, and staff performance on-site in Hutchins, Texas.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Materials Engineering with 5–7 years of project engineering management,

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical or Materials Engineering or related field and 5–7 years of project engineering management experience.
• Experience with aerospace and/or defense industries; titanium alloys a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead safety initiatives and maintain safe working environment.
• Drive performance metrics, allocate resources, and plan strategically.
• Develop and implement department goals, policies and schedules.
• Plan, organize, and schedule work of department personnel.
• Supervise engineering staff and ensure customer specs are met.
• Communicate with customers about needs and applications.
• Review designs to reduce cost and improve production efficiency.
• Estimate engineering hours and project costs for quotes.
• Coordinate with management on capabilities, schedules, and budgets.
• Provide status reports to the President and stay current with engineering developments.
• Supervise on-site engineering team and delegate tasks.
