Job summary

Chicago Metallic in Humboldt, TN is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering, maintenance, and tool room functions for safe, efficient manufacturing operations. You will oversee capital projects, equipment reliability, and stamping dies to ensure quality and on-time production.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will mentor engineers and technicians, drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, and coordinate with vendors to deliver projects on schedule and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• Experience in industrial engineering, process optimization and project management in metal stamping preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial controls including PLCs and robotics preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, machinists, and maintenance technicians.
• Allocate resources effectively to support production and project goals.
• Ensure equipment and systems meet OSHA and manufacturer standards for safe operation.
• Plan and manage capital expense and preventive maintenance budgets.
• Lead industrial engineering projects and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement through best practices and innovative solutions.
• Oversee stamping dies development and troubleshooting to support production.
• Manage Tool Room scheduling and capabilities.
• Ensure equipment reliability to meet quality standards.
• Communicate project progress and recommendations to upper management and clients.
• Analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
