Job summary

Lakeside Recruiting Solutions is seeking an Engineering Manager for Machining & Assembly in Clinton, Tennessee. You will lead Production Engineering activities, oversee Machining and Assembly projects, and drive process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and timelines, and collaborate with suppliers to source materials and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and automotive industry practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years related experience and high school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of machining, assembly, and process optimization.
• Leadership experience in managing engineering teams.
• Previous experience within the automotive industry

Responsibilities

• Manage members in the Production Engineering Department (Machining & Assembly)
• Oversee the design and development of Machining and Assembly projects.
• Ability to develop annual and semi-annual action plans that correspond with the company initiatives.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects and reduce carbon footprints.
• Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry, company standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage engineering projects, budgets, and timelines.
• Train and mentor engineering staff on best practices in machining/assembly.
• Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Submits proposals to management for consideration and allocation of funds from the department budget.
