Job summary

Recare Deutschland GmbH is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop a growing engineering organization. You will focus on people development, alignment across teams, and building the structures that enable engineers and Tech Leads to thrive while delivering healthcare-focused software.

You will drive team health, facilitate discussions, and ensure decisions land in the teams. You will also help shape engineering practices, onboarding, and collaboration with Product.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration across product and engineering teams.
• Strong people-management and feedback skills.
• Proven ability to implement scalable engineering processes and rituals.

Responsibilities

• Grow and develop engineers in your team cluster through regular 1:1s, feedback, and career development.
• Maintain team health by ensuring collaboration and addressing friction early.
• Facilitate cross-team discussions and ensure involved stakeholders are aligned on decisions.
• Support Tech Leads by enabling them to focus on technical leadership while documenting decisions.
• Ensure engineering processes run smoothly from planning cycles to meaningful retrospectives.
• Contribute to cross-team initiatives such as onboarding programs and engineering-wide practices.

As we continue to grow our engineering organization, the role of Engineering Manager becomes key to keeping teams aligned, healthy, and effective. Your mission is to develop people, strengthen collaboration across teams, and create the structures that allow engineers and Tech Leads to thrive while building products that truly improve healthcare.

• You are responsible for the growth and development of engineers in your team cluster – running regular 1:1s, supporting career development, giving actionable feedback, and addressing conflicts early.
• You are the driver of team health, making sure teams collaborate effectively, identifying friction early, and stepping in when challenges start affecting delivery or morale.
• You shape how teams work together by facilitating discussions across teams and ensuring the right people are involved when decisions impact multiple areas.
• You support Tech Leads by enabling them to focus on technical leadership and mentoring, while you make sure decisions are documented, communicated, and actually land in the teams.
• You ensure that key engineering processes run smoothly – from planning cycles and cross-team dependency alignment to meaningful retrospectives.
• You develop engineering beyond your immediate team by contributing to cross-team initiatives such as onboarding programs, engineering-wide practices, or collaboration with Product.
