Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks an Engineering Manager to oversee internal and external development for SolidTron devices. You will lead mechanical, firmware, electrical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to automate testing, improve accuracy, and expand test capacity for the product lineup.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership and project management, strong CAD with SolidWorks, and experience with SAP in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or related field).
5+ years managing engineering teams and project management experience.
5+ years goal setting, evaluating staff performance and conducting staff reviews.
SolidWorks proficiency or equivalent CAD.
Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years with SAP or tiered MRP software.
Background in electrical engineering and power electronics preferred.
Strong leadership and reporting skills.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience delivering project presentations.

Responsibilities

Managing a diverse, cross-functional group of engineers across a broad spectrum of deliverables.
Establishing measurable goals aligning to product group objectives.
Schedule and prioritize engineering resources to support internal and external products.
Support Product Management and Business Development in customer needs.
Collaborate with Product Management and Operations on costing.
Implement tracking mechanisms for reporting costs on projects.
Interact with Test and Assembly to support processing needs and efficiencies.
Collaborate with Assembly to utilize shared resources without production interruptions.
Work with Supply Chain to ensure designs and documentation are current for procurement.
Involve in qualification, validation, and certification activities.
