Job summary

Robinhood is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software developers responsible for launching crypto and other financial products in new regions. You will shape architecture, execute launches, and build reusable systems to scale globally while ensuring security and performance.

You will recruit, mentor, and support engineers as you partner with product, compliance, and design teams to deliver on schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading engineering teams.
• Proven experience shipping complex products end-to-end with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with reliability and performance.
• Experience delivering complex technical projects from planning to deployment.
• Clear communication with technical and business partners to explain decisions.
• Mentorship and coaching of engineers on the team.

As an Engineering Manager , you will lead a team of software developers to drive some of Robinhood’s most important international launch initiatives. You will be responsible for driving the architecture and execution required to launch crypto and other financial products in new regions, while shaping the reusable systems that make future launches faster, safer, and more scalable. You will guide technical execution, review system architectures, and ensure our services remain highly performant and secure at scale. In this role, you will recruit, mentor, and support the career progression of engineers on your team. You will work closely with product managers, compliance partners, and other team leads to define technical strategy and deliver features on schedule. Your leadership will directly shape how we scale our platform and deliver a reliable financial experience to our global community!

This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week . What you’ll do

What you bring

• Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Product Shipping Experience: Proven experience leading collaborative teams across product, design, and engineering to ship complex products, including end-to-end management from concept to launch, and ensuring high-quality, reliable user experiences post-deployment.
• Systems Design: Experience designing and operating distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Project Delivery: Experience delivering complex technical projects from initial planning through execution and deployment.
• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business partners to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Mentorship: Experience supporting team development through regular coaching, mentoring and feedback.
