Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid New York State Driver's License is required.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of supervisory responsibility.
• Minimum of 5 years of occupation-specific experience.
• Knowledge of city, state, and federal building and safety codes.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety Standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and building plans.
• Strong leadership and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Engineering and Maintenance personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Oversee maintenance, inspection, and operation of facility infrastructure and utility systems.
• Direct preventive maintenance programs and monitor system performance.
• Manage contractors, construction activities, and capital improvement projects.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts for facility-related incidents.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with budget preparation, procurement, and operational planning.
• Promote safety, accountability, quality, and patient-centered service.
