Job summary

Mastercard seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a service group supporting its Decision Management Platform for fraud detection. You will steer strategy, build high-performing teams, and ensure reliable, secure software delivery across the lifecycle. Expect collaboration with Product and Operations to align roadmaps.

You will champion testing, DevOps, observability, and secure development, guiding teams through modern platform modernization and large-scale technology changes in a fintech context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive software engineering and architecture experience with leadership responsibility for complex platforms.
• Proven success delivering distributed, scalable, low-latency systems and high-volume transaction-processing applications.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring-based services, RESTful APIs, automated testing, and service-oriented architecture.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute an engineering strategy aligned with business and product objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams delivering secure, scalable software on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee end-to-end SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
• Provide technical leadership for Java 21 applications built with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and RESTful web services.
