We are seeking a deeply technical Engineering Manager (M7 level) to lead a high-impact engineering team building a scalable, fully automated IT product and infrastructure ecosystem. At Rippling, our IT business unit bridges the gap between digital identity and physical hardware. The Inventory Management engineering team sits at the very heart of this ecosystem. We build the global system of record orchestrating our hardware supply chain, global warehouse networks, and end-to-end device lifecycles. When a customer hires an employee, our platform automates the entire provisioning, configuration, and device shipping pipeline—reconciling asynchronous, unpredictable human workflows in physical warehouses with atomic, high-throughput backend software states.
We build the mission-critical software that simplifies IT for organizations, turning complex, manual processes into simple, one-click solutions. Our core product domains include:
You will manage a lean, highly capable, and senior group of 7 cross-platform engineers navigating and leading with deep technical leverage, high execution velocity, and direct architectural impact. This role is ideal for an engineering leader who enjoys operating close to underlying infrastructure, possesses a high ambiguity tolerance for shifting charters, and acts as a multiplier by leveraging AI-driven developer workflows to eliminate operational overhead through software.
Rippling highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. For office-based employees (employees who live within a defined radius of a Rippling office), Rippling considers working in the office, at least three days a week under current policy, to be an essential function of the employee’s role.
This role will receive a competitive salary + benefits + equity. The salary for US-based employees will be aligned with one of the ranges below based on location; see which tier applies to your location here.
A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed below.
