Job summary

Databricks is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of a new service within the Databricks SQL Control Plane. You will guide a team of engineers, define architecture, and drive cloud-native, highly available solutions that scale for multi-tenant workloads.

You will hire, mentor, and partner with product leaders to shape roadmaps and ensure delivery of robust data warehousing capabilities, while fostering a culture of excellence and empathy.

Databricks SQL (DBSQL) is a serverless data warehouse on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform that lets you run all your SQL and BI applications at scale. The Databricks SQL Control Plane team builds scalable solutions for managing the multi-tenanted DB SQL service. This team creates and maintains services that allow customers to create a data warehouse, scale it within seconds, and run mission critical workloads at scale. The team is seeking an Engineering Manager to spearhead the development of a new service and architecture for the next generation of our product.

The key responsibilities include:

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
