Super.com is seeking a Finance Automation Lead within Data Engineering to own the financial data behind our GL, sales tax filings, and month-end close. You will report to the Senior Manager, Data Engineering, and lead a team of five data and analytics engineers.

This role sits on the Analytics & Data Science team. We value data maturity, experimentation, and high-impact delivery. You will mentor teammates, shape roadmaps, and drive end-to-end results.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years as a data/analytics engineer and 2+ years in people leadership.
• 5+ years building production data pipelines and warehouse models with SQL and dbt.
• Experience owning financial data used by Accounting: GL feeds, month-end close, reconciliation.
• Designing and implementing well-architected data solutions for large-scale challenges.
• Deep experience in database design and warehouse data modeling, scheduling & orchestration.
• Turn ambiguous stakeholder requests into scoped, estimated plans.
• Clear communication with accountants and engineers.

About The Role

This role leads Finance Automation within Data Engineering. The team owns the financial data behind our general ledger, sales tax filing and month-end close: the dbt models, pipelines and NetSuite syncs that Accounting relies on to close the books accurately and on time. You'll report to the Senior Manager, Data Engineering, and lead a team of five data and analytics engineers.

About The Team

This role is part of our Analytics & Data Science team. Being Data Driven is a core value of Super.com and this team plays a huge part in this. We are long time advocates and users of Snowflake, DBT & Amplitude. This isn't a place where we are convincing the business the value of data, or just using these tools for the first time. We have maturity in our technical practices, launch a new experiment every day, and are looking for teammates to roll up their sleeves and do high quality data work.

What you'll be working on

• Oversee a full-stack team of 5+ data engineers or analytics engineers. You will be responsible for the continued staffing of the team, including being a key contributor to hiring processes
• Propel the business and engineering org forward by leading high-impact transformational projects end-to-end in an iterative, data-driven, startup environment
• Shape the technical roadmap for the team, contribute to product roadmap and OKR discussions, and drive the engineering agile processes for the team
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and growth, ensuring team members excel with oversight and mentorship, are working on projects at the intersection of interest, experience, and business impact, and have concrete opportunities for growth
• Drive high release quality and cadence by completing code reviews, ensuring end-to-end tests are written, and sustainable yet pragmatic development practices are followed
• Strategically contribute technically - write important design docs, tackle particularly intricate components / features or services, jumping in as an individual contributor when appropriate

What we're looking for

• 5+ years experience as a data or analytics engineer and at least 2 year experience as a people leader
• 5+ years building production data pipelines and warehouse models, with strong SQL and working dbt proficiency. You can review a model and catch grain, fan-out and testing gaps
• Experience owning financial data that Accounting depends on: GL feeds, month-end close, reconciliation, audit support, payment processing
• Evidence of designing and implementing logical, well-architected solutions for complex, large-scale data engineering challenges
• Deep experience in database design & warehouse data modeling, scheduling & orchestration
• A track record of turning ambiguous stakeholder requests into scoped, estimated plans, and pushing back when capacity is short
• Clear communication with both accountants and engineers

Compensation Range: $140K - $196K
