Job summary

Applied Intuition is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Axion team in Sunnyvale, CA to lead cross-functional software, simulation, integration, and UI/UX groups delivering high-impact autonomy toolchain capabilities. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3–5+ years in software engineering with increasing responsibility.
• At least 1–2 years in a leadership role delivering complex systems.
• Strong background in architecture, design, implementation and delivery of large-scale software systems (real-time, autonomy, robotics, or hardware integration).
• Experience mentoring and growing engineering teams: recruiting, performance management, career development.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical roadmap for the area, translating product vision into deliverables.
• Drive software engineering best practices: architecture design, code reviews, CI/CD, test automation, performance and quality metrics.
• Manage project execution: plan sprints/releases, monitor progress, identify risks, ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Collaborate with product management and UX/design to refine requirements and ensure alignment with user value.
• Recruit top talent and foster a culture of ownership, iteration, and innovation.
• Communicate status and risk to senior leadership and provide engineering input for business decisions.
