Job summary

LMI Government Consulting in the United States is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team building authoritative Army logistics data products for HQDA, G-4, ELISS. The role blends engineering leadership with hands-on architecture, data engineering, ontology development, and production delivery.

The manager will supervise data engineers/scientists, establish standards, and collaborate with government stakeholders to translate logistics needs into capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering, software engineering, or enterprise data delivery.
• Experience supervising technical professionals.
• Strong hands-on with Python, SQL, and modern data-engineering practices.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ontology development, and data-quality management.
• Solid fundamentals in testing, source control, CI/CD, and production monitoring.
• U.S. DoD customer experience and strong communication skills.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and sustainment of authoritative Army logistics data products.
• Lead and supervise a team of data engineers and data scientists.
• Remain hands-on with data architecture, pipelines, ontology, and troubleshooting.
• Set engineering standards for quality, lineage, testing, source control, deployment, and monitoring.
• Translate logistics needs into technical priorities and deliverables with government stakeholders.
• Ensure data products are reliable, traceable, secure, and production-ready.
• Mentor engineers through technical direction and performance feedback.
• Provide trusted data for analytics, AI, and ML use cases.
